They may be labeled as outcasts or rebels, but in reality, they're the ones who are brave enough to challenge the status quo and forge their own path. Let's celebrate the black sheep in our lives - the ones who inspire us to think differently, to question the norms, and to embrace our individuality.

'The previous night, while Cork city was under military curfew, imposed on Dec 10, the supposed forces of order – the Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC) Auxiliary Division to be precise – had set fire to the centre of Cork with petrol and grenades. By the following morning, when Corkonians emerged to poke around the charred ruins, they found that most of the city’s main commercial thoroughfare, Patrick’s Street, had been burned to the ground.

Anne Frank's father, Otto, visits the attic where they hid from the Germans in World War II. He stands alone as he is the only member of his family to have survived the Holocaust, 1960 This picture was taken in 1960 in the Netherlands, where the Frank Family hid from German troops. The Frank family were Jews during a time when Jews were sent away to be killed in concentration camps. The Franks are one of the most well-known Jewish families during the war due to Anne Frank (Otto's daughter) writing a diary about her experiences in hiding. Her diary has been republished and has sold more than 30 million copies and has been translated into 70 languages. In her diary, she talks about life in hiding, school, growing up and her fears about the German forces in the area.

Beloved, biology scientist says that after s*xual intercourse, about 200 to 300 million sperms are deposited by the man, they all begin to swim upwards within the track to meet with the ovum, out of the 200 million that are deposited only 300 to 500 actually reach the site (others get tired on the way because is not an easy race) and of the 300 that manage to reach the ovum (egg), only one fertilised the egg and in this case the winning one is YOU.  Have you ever thought about this? You ran a race without your eyes and your legs you WON, you ran a race without your education and you WON, you ran without certificate and you WON, you ran without help and you WON, what makes you think you will Lose now?  Now that you have both eyes and legs, now that you have the knowledge of God's word, now that you have plans, visions and dreams, beloved you didn't give up on day one, so you can't give up now, giving up now is an insult to your creator.  It doesn't matter what you see no

THE TEACHING OF THE DONKEY

Image
THE TEACHING OF THE DONKEY One day a farmer’s donkey fell into a well. The animal cried loudly for hours, while the farmer tried to find something to do to get him out. Finally, the farmer decided that the donkey was old and the well was already dry and needed to be covered anyway; that it really wasn't worth pulling the donkey out of the well.. He invited all his neighbors to come help him. They each grabbed a shovel and began to throw dirt into the well. The donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly loud. Then, to everyone's surprise, he quieted down after a few shovelfuls of dirt. The farmer finally looked down into the well and was amazed at what he saw... with each shovelful of dirt, the donkey was doing something incredible: It was shaking off the dirt and stepping on top of the dirt. Very soon everyone saw surprised how the donkey reached the mouth of the well, went over the edge and trotted out... Life is going to throw dirt at you, all kinds of dirt...

Celebrating Halloween in 1886: A man dresses himself up as the king of billiards with his two sons dressed up as the 8 ball and the cue ball. In the 19th century, people used to pool together bets for horse races in special rooms called poolrooms. Billiard tables were installed in these rooms so patrons could pass the time between races. Naturally, the term "shooting pool" came to mean playing billiards. Moreover, the word "pool" in the context of gambling originates from the French word for chicken (poule) because it harkens back to a medieval French gambling game that involved throwing things at a chicken and the player who hit it would win.

150 Years From Now

Image
150 Years From Now 150 years from now, none of us reading this post today will be alive. 70 percent to 100 percent of everything we are fighting over right now will be totally forgotten. Underline the word, TOTALLY.  If we go back memory lane to 150 years before us, that will be 1872, none of those that carried the world on their heads then are alive today. Almost all of us reading this will find it difficult to picture anybody's face of that era. Pause for a while and imagine how some of them betrayed their relatives and sold them as slaves for a piece of mirror. Some killed family members just for a piece of land or tubers of yam or cowries or for a pinch of salt. Where is the yam, cowries, mirror, or salt that they were using to brag? It may sound funny to us now, but that is how silly we humans are sometimes, especially when it comes to power or trying to be relevant. I remember those days in my secondary school, how some people fought and did so many unimaginable things just

The city of Pompeii, Herculaneum aпd several settlements at the foot of this volcano were hardest hit. This is Shrek.⁣

Image
This is Shrek.⁣ ⁣ He was just your everyday, average, run-of-the-mill Merino sheep living in South Island, New Zealand when he decided to escape from his enclosure and make a break for it to some nearby caves. He managed to live on his own for 6 years before he was eventually tracked down by his owner John Perrian, who had this to say when he finally found him, "He looked like some biblical creature."⁣ ⁣ While some sheep breeds naturally shed their wool, (i.e. Bighorn sheep in North America) Merino sheep never do. Their wool will continue to grow until it completely engulfs them and even impair their vision (what you would call "wool blind"). Domesticated sheep have evolved based on the way humans have groomed them for thousands of years. The earliest domestication of sheep dates back to 11,000 BCE in ancient Mesopotamia, where they were primarily used for meat, milk and wool. After 6 years without a shave, Shrek had enough wool on his body to produce 20 suits f

Neolithic Romeo and Juliet: The Lovers of Valdaro’s Eternal Embrace

Image
Neolithic Romeo and Juliet: The Lovers of Valdaro’s Eternal Embrace On February 11, 2007, right before Valentine’s Day, a team of archaelogists uncovered a Neolithic Ьᴜгіаɩ site in the village of Valdaro, Italy, containing two ѕkeɩetoпѕ who have been ɩoсked in an eternal embrace for the past 6,000 years. Could they be the real Romeo and Juliet? The couple are a male and female who were no older than 20 years old when they dіed and were approximately 5’2″ (157 cm) in height. The male ѕkeɩetoп was found with a flint arrowhead near his neck, while the female had a long flint blade along the thigh and two flint kпіⱱeѕ under the pelvis. However, osteological examination found no eⱱіdeпсe of ⱱіoɩeпt deаtһ, so the most likely explanation is the flint tools were Ьᴜгіed along with the pair as burіаɩ objects. Bush on a visit to the White House in 2006.  Kiir has been the president of South Sudan since 2011 following his country’s vote for independence from the north.

The summer initiation season is currently underway, and there are already stories of young men dying while others have been circumcised by illegal schools. It’s that time of the year when parents release their sons into the care of traditional surgeons for traditional male circumcision and things can go horribly wrong when the correct processes are not followed. Drum chats to Xhosa cultural expert, Mlawu Tyatyeka who says letting go of how things were done in the past has a huge impact on the death of young men during this all-too-important rite of passage. “In the olden days, people would even go on horseback to travel over 30km, looking for the most trusted traditional surgeon for their children. “Then with the modernization of things, people started just picking anyone to do it. Which has then prompted government to insist that traditional surgeons and their schools be registered.” Mlawu says, just like mothers cannot help other women deliver babies by virtue of them being mother

UPROAR AFTER SOUTH AFRICA BANS TRAIN TRADING, PREACHING & GAMBLING South Africans late this week took to social media venting their anger about the government’s banning of trading, preaching and gambling on new trains. In its latest statement, Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) said trading, gambling and preaching had been banned on newly installed trains in an effort to improve on security. In the past, train passengers could buy fruit and vegetables and gamble, and those who wanted to feed their soul could head for the coaches where sermons were being preached.
