They may be labeled as outcasts or rebels, but in reality, they're the ones who are brave enough to challenge the status quo and forge their own path. Let's celebrate the black sheep in our lives - the ones who inspire us to think differently, to question the norms, and to embrace our individuality.

Mayuge Girl Defiled, Impregnated and Rotting From a Mysterious Infection

One poverty stricken family in Mayuge district is stranded with its young daughter, recently defiled, impregnated and now rotting at home after a mysterious infection attacking her breasts.

The seventeen year old Jane (not her real name) residing with her parents at Mugeri village of Bukatube Sub county in Mayuge district was on August 8 visited by this publication and she tearfully narrated the pain she is experiencing at the moment.

Displaying her swollen, elongated up to the waistline and near to decomposing breasts, Jane explained that it all started in December last year with some simple itching that was followed by the swelling that has with time resulted into the current situation.

To make things even worse, Jane was in the recent past defiled and she is nine months pregnant hoping to be delivered a baby anytime whose father is away and on the run for fear of being arrested for the offence.

“With these painful rotting breasts I am worried as to how I will breastfeed my coming baby whose father ran away because he feared being imprisoned,” she said.

Jane said her parents have sold everything they could lay hands on, including but not limited to most of the land, goats, and even chicken with the sole intention of not only to saving her life but also to feeding the family.

They are now left with nothing to sell.

When we visited, the father was not at home.

Jane told us that he had carried her photographs including her hospital medical forms and gone to beg for money from any sympathizer he can find out there not necessarily for treatment anymore but for food for the family to survive.

“We do not have what to eat here and my father goes out daily to beg but some days he comes back empty handed and we sleep hungry hopeful that the next day will yield something for us,” she said close to tears.

She said in her endeavors to treat the infection, she had visited many traditional herbalists, Iganga hospital and Buluba Mission hospital from where she was referred to Mulago for further management but she could not afford travelling to Kampala due to lack of money.

Jane gave her contact number as 0754132177 or 0754179669 appealed to President Museveni and any other sympathizer out there to come to her rescue and save her life and that of her coming child.
