Mystery- The Haunted Town Of St. Nazianz, WI St. Nazians was founded by a priest who wholeheartedly believed to helped cursed the town. Over the years, the town has been hit with natural disasters and unexplained phenomena. Father Ambrose Oschwald was fled to Wisconsin in 1854 from religious persecution. The Roman Catholic Church had suspended him from his duties due to “mystical, prophetic, and heretical works.” Already, the scary history of the town is starting to make sense! The woman whose baby’s hand was amputated after the father allegedly flogged him with a hanger has narrated what happened in an exclusive interview with BBC News Pidgin.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with BBC News Pidgin, the woman disclosed that the incident happened one Friday night. She said she briefly left the baby to ease herself but the baby started crying as soon as she left.
When she returned to the baby, she said she saw the man (baby daddy) flogging her two-month-old baby with hanger. After flogging the baby, she said the man tied his hand with a rubber band and told her that his wounds will heal fast owing to the fact that he is a baby.


“It really happened on a Friday night. I left him to go and ease myself and he was crying on top of his voice. As I came, I saw him flogging the baby with hanger. When he finished flogged the baby, he now tied his hands with rubber band. He now said he is just a little child, his hands will heal fast and the bone is going to join together. He threatened me not to tell anybody” –she recounts.

According to the woman, her baby daddy warned her to keep what happened a secret. However, as soon as he stepped out of the house, she said she ran to her neighbors for help.
She said her neighbor gave her financial assistance and also followed her to the hospital. They were rejected in a couple of hospitals due to the state of the baby’s hand. The baby was eventually admitted in a Federal Medical Centre.
Speaking about the state of the baby when admitted, a Medical Doctor who spoke with BBC News Pidgin disclosed that the baby’s hand had rotten, turned black and began to stink by the time he was brought to the hospital.


The Doctor said they decided to amputate the baby’s hand before the germs in it spreads to his blood and cause more issues. He said the mother agreed to the amputation and the surgery was done successfully.
The mother added that she has known the man for about four years. She said she lived with him when the incident happened. According to her, when she was staying at her aunt’s place, the man came to her and told her to live with him.
She said she is pained and sad about what happened to her child. She said she never expected such thing from the man.
