They may be labeled as outcasts or rebels, but in reality, they're the ones who are brave enough to challenge the status quo and forge their own path. Let's celebrate the black sheep in our lives - the ones who inspire us to think differently, to question the norms, and to embrace our individuality.

The ad copy highlights one of its uses: “Fix fringe to forehead with 'SCOTCH' Tape and cut across top of tape. Fringe cuts straight, hair trimmings stick to tape—won’t fall in eyes. 'SCOTCH' Brand Cellulose Tape is your handiest household helper". ⁣
Scotch tape was invented by a 23-year-old research assistant named Richard Drew who was attempting to make adhesive tape for auto painters. He made the mistake of not adding enough adhesive. When Drew presented it to one of the car painters, he supposedly said, "Why so Scotch with the adhesive?" (In the 1920s, the word scotch was used to mean "cheap"). The name stuck and a brand was born.⁣
Scotch tape was released during the Great Depression and it was an instant hit amongst a populace that wanted to make easy and inexpensive repairs around the house. In the 1940s, the New York Times cited Scotch tape as the perfect tool for "splinting pigeon wings, preparing windows for air raids, resealing envelopes opened by government censors, cropping photo negatives, applying Thanksgiving decorations, getting criminal fingerprints, repairing checks that had been torn up in a rage, affixing lucky pennies to fighter planes and wrapping Christmas gifts."⁣
