Mystery- The Haunted Town Of St. Nazianz, WI St. Nazians was founded by a priest who wholeheartedly believed to helped cursed the town. Over the years, the town has been hit with natural disasters and unexplained phenomena. Father Ambrose Oschwald was fled to Wisconsin in 1854 from religious persecution. The Roman Catholic Church had suspended him from his duties due to “mystical, prophetic, and heretical works.” Already, the scary history of the town is starting to make sense! Ofarnyi Kwegya was one of the people who came with Asebu Amanfi from Ancient Egypt to what is now Asebu Town in the Central Region of Ghana.

Oral traditional history says that Asebu Amanfi and Ofarnyi Kwegya were both very tall people.

Asebu Amanfi moved inland when he got there and started the town of Asebu. Ofarnyi Kwegya was a great fisherman who moved to the coast because there were so many Stingrays (Mrol) in the rivers. This is where the name Mrol or Moree came from.

Ofarnyi Kwegya, who has died, was the best fisherman who ever lived in Ghana. Since he died, no fisherman has been able to match what he did. Ofarnyi Kwegya was a great fisherman who could catch a lot of fish because he was so big. His fishing took him and his men to many places along the coast of what is now the Central Region. Because he fished, he moved to Moree, Winneba, and other places along the coast.
