Mystery- The Haunted Town Of St. Nazianz, WI St. Nazians was founded by a priest who wholeheartedly believed to helped cursed the town. Over the years, the town has been hit with natural disasters and unexplained phenomena. Father Ambrose Oschwald was fled to Wisconsin in 1854 from religious persecution. The Ghastly Stories From The Horrific History Of Immurement

Immurement, the terrifying fate of being entombed alive inside a small space and left to die, remains one of history's cruelest punishments from the days of ancient Rome to the present. And though it may seem like a barbarically antiquated execution method, its use has been recorded even into the early 20th century. Photographic evidence from 1913 shows a Mongolian woman who was sealed inside a wooden box and left to rot. And in one case, the horror may have fit the crime. Hadj Mohammed Mesfewi, a serial killer in Morocco, was accused of murdering at least 36 women after the bodies were found buried around his property in 1906. The "Marrakesh Arch-Killer" was then sentenced to death by immurement in the public market. A small cell was created in a wall, with chains in the back, and Mesfewi was placed inside as he begged for mercy and the onlooking crowd jeered. Eventually, he was sealed up, and the public could no longer see him — but they could still hear him. The condemned killer screamed for two days, and on the third, he finally fell silent.
