What are the pros and cons of the US Army Rangers vs US Special Forces (Green Berets)? I want to join one of them.

Rangers are a larger direct action force. Special Forces are essentially trainers and not direct action types.

Are you willing to kick in a door and kill everyone big enough to die? Rangers are where you want to be.

Are you ready to teach foreign soldiers that don’t know left from right? Special Forces is where you want to be.

Don’t get me wrong Special Forces can bring down hellfire and damnation upon an enemy, but the main job they do is train soldiers to be better soldiers.

Rangers are the shooters

SF are the teachers.
