They may be labeled as outcasts or rebels, but in reality, they're the ones who are brave enough to challenge the status quo and forge their own path. Let's celebrate the black sheep in our lives - the ones who inspire us to think differently, to question the norms, and to embrace our individuality.

How I do avoid cartels when I came to Mexico

How I do avoid cartels when I came to Mexico

Just do not buy drugs, especially in large quantities. Don't sell drugs, especially wholesale. Don't take drugs. Don't get involved in the drug business.

If you don't do all that (and that's not so much), you don't have to avoid anything else.

Do your tourist stuff, enjoy the sights, go to restaurants and be friendly.

So, your chances are close to 0% that you happen to come across "a cartel". And 100% of the time, any "cartel person" you meet will avoid you.

One would think that this would be clear.

But when you talk to taxi drivers and Uber drivers, it's amazing how many stupid gringos visiting Mexico ask to "be taken where the cartels are" or ask for a "place to get some dope."

Sometimes they even do this when they've just gotten off the plane before they've even arrived at their hotel/Airbnb. Because these idiots think they're Superman or Paul Broom ("Pablo Escobar", you know?). Or they believe that their almighty FBI or military will magically come to rescue them if they move outside the law.

They're looking for some "excitement," just like they've seen on TV, for the same idiotic, bigoted reasons they're obsessed with "the cartel."

And when the inevitable consequences of this behaviour occur, if they are lucky, they just end up in prison. Their message laughs into their fists just as much as we all do, because no one can really help you if you have deliberately sought difficulties.

They may be able to get you a lawyer who speaks your language and they can check on you from time to time.

Visit Mexico. It's fantastic.

I've lived here for half my life and not once have I met "the cartel". Almost everyone here in the country lives their whole lives without ever having anything to do with them. just as you can live a lifetime without ever encountering a U.S. cartel.

Still, the drugs don't magically grow legs, and they don't migrate from San Diego to Manhattan on their own.

And why am I safe in both Mexico and the United States?

Because I don't take or buy drugs. I just don't have anything to do with drugs. That's why I don't encounter any cartels.

Just stop watching stupid gringo drug shows and scandalous news.

Apparently, they go to your head. They want to make you stupid and scared so that you buy their overpriced vitamin supplements and "legal" opioid pharmaceuticals. which are similar to the drug business.

Just travel instead, look at the world.
