Mystery- The Haunted Town Of St. Nazianz, WI St. Nazians was founded by a priest who wholeheartedly believed to helped cursed the town. Over the years, the town has been hit with natural disasters and unexplained phenomena. Father Ambrose Oschwald was fled to Wisconsin in 1854 from religious persecution. The Roman Catholic Church had suspended him from his duties due to “mystical, prophetic, and heretical works.” Already, the scary history of the town is starting to make sense! Oddly enough, the congregation followed him. Once they got to Wisconsin, a “divine white heifer” lead them to the site of his new home which would become St. Nazianz. The community actually thrived. They titled themselves “The Association” and created an entirely functional society. Tragically, Father Oschwald became sick in 1873. Anton Still, a loyal follower, stayed with Father Osc...

PAST METHODS OF EXECUTION IN CHINA

PAST METHODS OF EXECUTION IN CHINA China has had many different ways to execute people in the past. These are gruesome and not used anymore, the main two used today are the lethal injection and the firing squad . These are used now a day because they are not nearly as inhumane as what was done in the past. China has had some interesting techniques. There are many different ways to executing someone but these are my top 5 excruciating executing methods.
Flaying is when "the executioner will remove the skin from the body of a living prisoner. The victim will be flayed alive in public and then the skin is nailed to the wall". This was a very public way to spread the word to not do what that guy just did. No one wants to have their skin hanging from a wall as a warning. It is very painful, needless to say, because your skin is being taken off of you while you are still living and breathing.
Waist Chopping is pretty much what it sounds like. You chop a person in half at the waist. "A person’s major organs are on the upper half of the body, the prisoner will not die immediately after execution and will still be alive for some time before death". This is very cruel and has not been used in the past 10 years for obvious reasons.
Chariot-tearing is getting all the limbs and the head connected to five ropes connected onto five different chariots and drive them in different directions . This tears people limb from limb and pops the head out of place. Sometimes even the bones break before they are torn off. Excruciating pain.
The Wooden Horse is made specifically for women. Used after they commit a really horrendous crime. Usually murdering their husband . "First, erect a wooden pillar on a piece of wood, then hang up the female prisoner on the top end of the pillar, forcing the wooden pillar into her vagina, then release her and let the body fall until the wooden pillar pierces out from her nose and mouth, and often the victim has to bear the pain for several days before death". In even earlier times, they didn't make the pole go all the way up their body, just enough to tear the crotch a ways. The woman doesn't always have to die their "crotch can be injured and the victim could be left unable to walk without pain" .
The Nine Familial Exterminations is when you commit a crime and you and your whole family have pay. This was a very serious matter because it just didn't affect you. This method was associated with treason, if you committed or were accused of treason the Nine Familial Exterminations took place . Every person in your family had to do the same punishment as you
