They may be labeled as outcasts or rebels, but in reality, they're the ones who are brave enough to challenge the status quo and forge their own path. Let's celebrate the black sheep in our lives - the ones who inspire us to think differently, to question the norms, and to embrace our individuality.

How old were German Panzer crew members on average?

Around 20. Kurt Knispel, Germany’s and the world’s leading tank ace, was KIA at the age of 23 in 1945. He had been at war for several years at that point.

The same was true for most soldiers on both sides. The average Allied bomber crew was likewise aged around 20, with the aircraft commanders being only a few years older than the youngest crew members.

Hollywood war films consistently get this aspect of WWII wrong, showing soldiers in their 30’s, when in reality most of them were barely 20.
