Regarding the placenta, Dr Liu deduced that it was probably caused by Meng's "narrow angle of the pelvic opening", that she had a difficult delivery, and, after hours of painful struggle, the baby was finally born. The child's fragility and difficult labor caused fainting and death due to physical exhaustion.
