Mystery- The Haunted Town Of St. Nazianz, WI St. Nazians was founded by a priest who wholeheartedly believed to helped cursed the town. Over the years, the town has been hit with natural disasters and unexplained phenomena. Father Ambrose Oschwald was fled to Wisconsin in 1854 from religious persecution. The Roman Catholic Church had suspended him from his duties due to “mystical, prophetic, and heretical works.” Already, the scary history of the town is starting to make sense! Oddly enough, the congregation followed him. Once they got to Wisconsin, a “divine white heifer” lead them to the site of his new home which would become St. Nazianz. The community actually thrived. I've reported on egregious human rights abuses in the US prisons, but this is another level. A young man literally was eaten alive by insects over a period of weeks while in a filthy and windowless cell in the Atlanta jail in the same city where local law enforcement agencies have been.

What the hell is going on in the US state of Georgia? Lashawn Johnson was locked up in the state on a petty
misdemeanour charge. He had not been convicted of any crime. Due to the cruelty of his jailers, he suffered deeply while in his infested cell. This is akin in brutality to the forced rectal feeding and rape that took place at

Guantanamo. The Atlanta jail, either by design or neglect, is being run as a gulag and those responsible for the
facility, in my opinion, should be investigated for negligent homicide for this completely avoidable death. In my view, the pain inflicted on Mr. Thompson rises to the level of state-sanctioned torture.

The person is ultimately responsible for the conditions in the Atlanta jail is Sheriff Pat Labat. Labat describes himself in his official bio as a "decisive leader and change agent" with a "proven track record" of success. Success at what? Neglecting people until they die from bed bugs?

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis needs to open acriminal investigation to determine who is responsible for Mr. Thompson's death. Accountability can only come
through public pressure as this is an area of the country where officials seem determined to avoid any scrutiny of their own corrupt acts.
