They may be labeled as outcasts or rebels, but in reality, they're the ones who are brave enough to challenge the status quo and forge their own path. Let's celebrate the black sheep in our lives - the ones who inspire us to think differently, to question the norms, and to embrace our individuality.

In the 1500s, Galvarino, a Mapuche chieftain warrior, had both his hands cut off by the Spanish after the Battle of the Lagunillas in south central Chile. 



According to legend, after Galvarino lost his left hand, he nonchalantly offered his right hand, then asked for death. However, the governor, García Hurtado de Mendoza, decided to free him along with the other hundred or so mutilated warriors as a warning to the rest of the Mapuche. 

Upon returning home, Galvarino met with Caupolicán, the leader of the Mapuche and asked for another opportunity to seek justice. He was given his own squadron and had lances fastened to his stumps. In the Battle of Millarapue, Galvarino once again fought against the governor Mendoza. 

According to the Spanish historian Jerónimo de Vivar, Galvarino is said to have urged his men to continue fighting despite the superior weapons and armor of the Spanish. He claimed to have shouted, “Nobody is allowed to flee but to die because you die defending your mother country!" 



The Mapuche warriors were defeated once again. When the Spaniards offered to spare his life if he joined their side, Galvarino supposedly replied, “I would rather die than live like you, and I’m only sorry that my death will keep me from tearing you to pieces with my teeth.” 

This time, the governor made sure to execute Galvarino. Despite the heavy setbacks, the Mapuche would continue to fight the Spaniards for another 300 years.

The shocking video sees the mother-of-one letting her upper body hang out of the window of the moving car, before she hits a lamp post.
